Strong metals or soft pinks dominated the Oscar red carpet

On Oscar night in Los Angeles many actresses went for something strong and bold on the red carpet. Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o, Gal Gadot and Salma Hayek shimmered in metallic gold and silver gowns. Margot Robbie, Mary J. Blige, and Laura Dern chose soft whites or powder blues. There were also delicate pinks worn my Mira Sorvino, Allison Williams and Saoirse Ronan. Other actresses decided on a single strong color like Greta Gerwig and Zendaya.
