RIL, Essar scout new export market as global refining capacity surges

An increasing crude oil refining capacity globally and lacklustre demand is not only putting pressure on gross refining margins of Indian refiners, it is also threatening to edge out Reliance Industries Ltd and Essar Oil Ltd — two of the country’s biggest refiners—from their traditional export markets.
