Maharaja to Commoner - Shahid’s Look for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’

Actor Shahid Kapoor, is all set to play a common man in Shree Narayan Singh’s “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” after portraying a king Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay leela Bhansali’s magnum opus “Padmaavat”. In the picture, Shahid is seen riding a motorbike in his all black attire. It seems, the actor has gone back to his old days. The movie will be directed Shree Narayan Singh who also directed "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" that featured Akshay Kumar in lead role. 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'- a film which is based on the problem of electricity will see Shahid as a lawyer and also stars Yami Gautam and Sharddha Kapoor in pivotal roles.
