NEWARK, NEW JERSEY — A peacock was denied entry to a United flight in Newark Liberty International Airport on Sunday, reports Live and Let's Fly.

The bird belongs to a Brooklyn artist named Ventiko and is her emotional support animal, reports the Daily Mail. Ventiko offered to pay United for Dexter's seat, but the airline wasn't said he was too big.

In an Instagram post following the incident, Dexter wrote that he spent 6 hours waiting to get on a flight but his human friends were now going to drive him to Los Angeles.
