White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders suggested that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi smile more, and the comment was met with a flood of criticism.  Sanders gave the advice during a Wednesday morning interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo and in regard to Pelosi's reaction to the State of the Union address. "I think [Pelosi] should smile a lot more often," the press secretary commented. "I think the country would be better for it…She seems to kind of embody the bitterness that belongs in the Democrat party right now." Twitter was quickly abuzz, with one person noting, "No self-awareness whatsoever from Snarlin' Sarah," and another simply writing, "Pot meet kettle." There were also a bevy of comments about how generally infuriating it is when people tell women they should smile more. Among them were, "Sarah Sanders thinks Pelosi 'should smile a lot more often'??? Because...you know...women who smile are more attractive and nice to be around," and, getting right to the point, "Stop telling women to smile."
