The Media has grown over the past decade. Everything began in the year 1927 when the TV was designed by Filo Farnsworth. He lived without electricity until the age of 14. Later on, in 1960 Toshiba brought about the VCR for commercial use. In a just 5 years, Sony stepped in as a competition. They introduced the Reel to reel recorder in 1965. And the real revolution began with Sony introducing the U-Matic in 1970.
HBO was the next in line to contribute to these chain of events. It was America’s first pay-tv network launched in 1972. And then, in 1981 the term Internet was coined and used. No one knew that it was going to be such an important word in history.

The Cable Act was introduced in 1989 which paved way for the rapid growth of the cable services. A few years down the line, 139 cable programs were launched in 1995. After this development, the entry of Netflix in 1997 and the video on demand in 2000 are some of the major developments. Before all this excitement could settle down, Apple began introducing their products in the early 2000s. Finally after this in the year 2002, the Roku was released which revolutionized all of the media.

YouTube, PS3, Smartphones, and HDTV set foot in this era. This led to the evolution of streaming with Netflix being a front-runner. They're on demand services were available across several streaming medium in the late 2000s. And finally, Facebook and its live streaming feature happen to be the latest developments in this evolution.
