Tensions rise as new inmate attack fuels French prison strikes

After a string of attacks that have sparked anger and strikes across France, two more prison guards were assaulted with a knife by inmates, at a facility in Corsica. The fresh assault fuelled demands for better security as unions pressed a fourth day of strikes.
