White House To Let States Adopt Work Requirements For Medicaid

on Thursday, The Trump administration told states they can move toward imposing work or job training requirements on people as a condition for getting health insurance under Medicaid. States must propose such changes through waivers and receive federal approval. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services sent guidance making it easier for states to design and propose test programs. Democrats and health advocacy groups attacked the policy, saying it would make it more difficult for the most vulnerable Americans to have access to healthcare services.
