Ford Announces Second Death Over Airbag Inflator

Ford has confirmed a second death in an older pickup truck caused by a defective Takata airbag inflator.
The automotive company has called for the owners of 2,900 pickup trucks in North America to immediately get their vehicles fixed with replacement parts.
According to Ford, an occupant died after a crash last July in a 2006 Ford Ranger.
The crash occurred in West Virginia, but a similar incident occurred almost 2 years earlier in South Carolina.
Ford confirmed both deaths were caused by inflators built on the same day installed in 2006 Ranger pickups.
