Report Claims Deadly Washington Amtrak Accident Could Have Been Avoided

According to a preliminary report released by the US National Transportation Safety Board on Thursday, damage from a deadly December Amtrak train crash in Washington State has exceeded 40.4 million dollars. The safety board also stated that the deadly crash, which claimed the lives of three people and injured seventy others, could have been prevented if a safety technology system known as positive train control had been installed.
