Syrian Journalist Wounded by Blast While Reporting on Strikes in East Ghouta

A reporter with Syria’s Orient News, Yaman al-Sayed, was injured when an explosive went off next to him while he was covering bombings in the area around Irbin, east of Damascus, on January 2.Qasioun News Agency reported that more than 20 strikes hit the town of Irbin on January 2.The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said eight people were reported killed by airstrikes and government artillery strikes on January 2, bring the death toll in the area to 46 since December 29.A local activist shared a photo of al-Sayed in the hours after he was wounded, showing him in bandages and saying he was recovering.
