‘Star Wars’ Has Second Best Opening Of All Time

Star Wars: The Last Jedi had the second biggest opening weekend of all time. The eight installment of the Star Wars Episodes series took in $220 million in its opening weekend. The only movie ahead of it on that list was 2015’s franchise-rejuvenating Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which debuted to $247.9 million and eventually went on to become the highest-grossing movie of all time in U.S. theaters.
