New Charges For Charlottesville Murder Suspect

James Alex Fields, the Charlottesville murder suspect, is facing new charges. At the start of a preliminary hearing for Fields Prosecutors revealed that they were seeking to upgrade the second-degree murder charge he previously faced in the Aug. 12 collision in Charlottesville that left 32-year-old Heather Heyer dead and dozens injured. The attack came after a rally had descended into chaos. Violent brawling between attendees and counterdemonstrators led to dozens of injuries.
