Imagine the likes of Tracey Chapman, Amy Winehouse, Ben Harper, Nile Rodgers, Illy and Fleetwood Mac getting together for a lazy sunday afternoon BBQ on a Tropical North Queensland day and you have = THE TASTE.
This dynamic 4 piece have been thrilling audiences with their Tasty Mash of Funk Rock, Soul and Hip Hop week after week for the past 3 years, rapidly building a loyal following on support of their debut EP ‘Rain Or Sunshine’, released early in 2014.
Combining the soulful vocals of Rachel Brabin, fluent words of MC Vainz, the funky rhythm of Mitch Sullivan and multi-instrumentalist Matt Mullins, this exciting group recently went to Number 1 on the ‘Top Of The Trops’ Charts for Sep 2014. Headlined the inaugural ‘Day On Da Green at Irvenbank Tavern – Music Festival’ and was described by Herb Armstrong (performer and grandson of the great Louis Armstrong) as “simply brilliant, I was in love by the second song!”.
With their upcoming album "REFLECTIONS' set for release in 2015 and East Coast Tour planned in early January, The Taste is looking to make their mark on the Australian Music Scene in 2015.
