El trío se forma a fines del año 2014 compuesto por Roberto Rodriguez en tuba, Ignacio Lorenzo en guitarra y Lucho Splif en banjo tenor, con la idea de hacer temas propios y versiones del género jazz manouche. Desde el nacimiento del proyecto a la actualidad se han presentado en diversos escenarios, que van desde intervenciones urbanas en la ciudad de Mendoza a presentaciones en bares y centros culturales o en eventos privados.
Lucho Splif Trío brinda un espectáculo musical con temas y versiones de diferentes ritmos (Swing, baladas, valses, bossa nova) que se encuentran en el repertorio del jazz manouche desde lo más primitivo hasta lo contemporáneo.
En el mes de Octubre de 2015 lanzaron un CD con temas propios titulado ¨Búho¨ que se puede descargar gratis en la página bandcamp.

The trio formed in late 2014 by Roberto Rodriguez made tuba, Ignacio Lorenzo on guitar and tenor banjo Lucho Splif with the idea of making their own songs and versions manouche jazz genre.
Since the beginning of the project until now they have been presented in several scenarios, ranging from urban interventions in the city of Mendoza and in pubs and cultural centers presentations.
Lucho Splif Trio provides a musical show with songs and versions of different rhythms (Swing, ballads, waltzes, bossa nova) found in the repertoire of jazz manouche from the most primitive to the contemporary.
In the month of October 2015 they released a CD with their own songs titled owl can download on Bandcamp page.
