Hawaii's Higher Elevations See Heavy Snow

A snowstorm blew into Hawaii’s higher elevations on Monday, November 27, and forecasters said more snow could be expected throughout the day on Tuesday.The storm began late morning on Monday, and by early afternoon, the observatories atop the dormant volcano Mauna Kea were covered in snow, as seen in the two timelapse videos in this compilation.
