Benjamin Carbonne and Antonio Rodriguez Yuste at the International Festival of Ibn Battuta

The video shows Benjamin Carbonne (Contemporary Art Painter) and Antonio Rodriguez Yuste (Text-Painting Artist) performing a live painting during the opening day of the Second Edition of the International Festival of Ibn Battuta. Also, a Spanish painter took almost a year to find out regarding the ‘Rihla’ of Ibn Battuta in line to express his journey adventures in a creative painting. Rihla is a classical Arabic term of a quest, it is also a form of travel literature based upon the experience of the travelers. Ibn Battuta travelled the globe and covered most of the Islamic world for nearly 30 years. Also, HE was recognized the Greatest Traveler of the medieval period. Therefore he says, “Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”In lieu on his journey, the tourism professional and cultural heritage advocates established an organization last June 2015 for his recognition also known as “Prince of Traveler.” The Moroccan traveler Ibn Battuta started his journey when he was 21 years of age to performed series of astonishing journeys. His main reason to travel was to go on a Hajj, or a Pilgrimage to Mecca. He also attended the courts of some of the most famous kings in the world and also fraternized with the local people in order to know the culture of the country.
As the celebrations of organization, they’ve organized the: Travelers, The Ambassador of Peace (2nd edition of International Festival of Ibn Battuta) that held last November 2017 at Tangier, Morocco. It was headed by Honorary President of the Moroccan Association of Ibn Battuta, Mohamed Dekkak. The Festival have exposed range of activities such as Travel Forums & Conference, Travel Literature, Travel Exhibitions, Art Shows ,Carnival, Travel Exhibitions, Musical Shows, Theatrical Plays and many more featuring the amazing adventures of the popular traveler of pre-modern time- The Great Ibn Battuta. It also the chance to emerge the Cultural movement that blossomed into the 2nd edition of international festival of ibn battuta giving a grow to travel as a language of peace.”The festival is being planned to strengthen and motivate the role of travel in expressing peace and to seek inter and counter cultural perceptive inspired by the character of Ibn Battuta, his bravery, humbleness and respect to others,” Mr. Dekkak added.
In cooperation of the sponsors, strategic partners, digital/medial partners and the host city – Tangier, the festival was successfully executed. In line with this, the Honorary President of the Moroccan Association of Ibn Battuta, Mohamed Dekkak state,”The certainty that every travelers can be ambassador of peace inspire me to give and uphold universal values, open-minded multicultural societies, sustainability, principles nurturing peace and mutual tolerance through travelling that aspire to make relation between men and women who considers themselves as citizen of the globe.
