T. Williams is one of a select few who are adept at dicing up both pet projects and payoff packets. Despite being a constant on the cruiserweight festival circuit for a good few years, he's never looked likely to sever those early ties to a label like Local Action. That being said, he's looked even less likely to put the jumper cables to his long-dormant grime alias ? until now.

The first Dread D release in almost a decade is a return to the weighty dubs that slyly snuck into the libraries of thousands of MySpace/MSN-ing grime geeks (if you recognise yourself here, go check; you might be surprised). ?Siege 1" is the most direct of the lot, with a generous twelve seconds to brace yourself before all hell breaks loose. It?s a direct callback to the glory days of Wizzbit, Jon E Cash and DJ Oddz. Fully amazing, basically.

Local Action hit a quarter century with this one on Nov 27.
