Since the toy hoop was invented by the ancient Egyptians in 1000 B.C., the hoop has moved in and out of vogue. The most modern variation on the simple toy hoop is Hooping, an artistic dance interpretation that has grown in popularity since popping up in studios as a way of working out in the 90s. Hoopadelic is one such studio, and we went over there to meet the owner Catherine Flournoy. She told us all about the studio, her passion for hooping, and the benefits of working out this way.
