As for what the Marine’s say in the opening of the trailer, anyone that wants to draw broader political implications from what the Marines have to say, is full of it, Marines cover the full spectrum of political opinions, though we to lean generally to the right, more importantly the Marines don’t say a word about their politics, so no one can speak to their politics. All you are seeing is two Marines telling exactly what it is like to go home and be confronted that come from a society that is now all but divorced from the hardships that Marines and Soldiers undergo, but is arrogant or foolish enough to think that they can speak for them, with even trying to understand them. That’s where the aggression and anger comes from, Dollard did a good job of trying to convey that, and even he himself does not seem arrogant enough to try to speak for them, only through them. S/F
