Lightning strikes across the road from filmer in Florida

Impressive footage of a lightning bolt hitting right across the street from a resident of North Port, FL, USA during a storm on July 10.
"I was standing on my porch, filming this great action. Lightning struck my Oak Tree which is only 50 feet to my left," the filmer wrote online.
"It smelled like camp fire even though it was pouring outside."
"A few hours later I went up to the tree that was hit and saw a black burnt line from the top of the tree down the trunk and to the ground, all the acorns near the bottom were burnt to ash."
