Saab Salomon Avalanche Trophy 2008
1st stage - Fourcross in Lyon (FRA)
Out of the 32 riders, there were only 16 left, then 8 and finally 4. Four amongst more than 200 ! A very hard-fough seclection with lack of track-holding (Franck Parolin in semi-finale), falls (Fabien Cousinié in finale) and block pass (Filip Polc with Aurélien Giordanengo in semi-finale). The massive audience enjoyed it and was pleased to watch the disrters jumps but also the cheerleaders routines. At the end, the 2007 winner keep his title : Romain Saladini 4X winner ahead of Quentin Derbier, Aurélien Giordanengo, Fabien Cousinié and Benoît Colin (winner of the small final).
