Bangalore: Farmers Face Severe Loss In K.R.Market Because Of Transport Strike

Farmers from within and outside Bangalore who were in K.R.Market for selling their vegetable produce are suffering severe loss as they are forced to sell their produce at throw away prices due to the bus strike.
The strike that had been called for by government transport workers in the state has begun today at 12AM. The employees are protesting against the minimal hike given to them against the percentage hike they had demanded. The protesters say that they will withdraw the protest only after the department agrees to give them the hike they want. In this background, violent activities were noticed in several cities of the state. Even buses coming from outside the state have been restricted from entering the state.
