FRANCE — A freak kitchen accident has claimed the life of a well-known French social media personality, who died at the hands of a faulty whipped cream dispenser.
Fitness blogger Rebecca Burger, 33, had more than 55,000 followers on Facebook, and 154,000 followers Instagram. On June 18, Burger was reportedly using a whipped cream dispenser. The dispenser hit Burger in the thorax, striking her so hard she went into cardiac arrest. Despite receiving medical attention, she died shortly afterward.
Previous freak accidents have been reported involving these particular whipped cream dispensers, stemming back to 2013. Since then, they’ve been recalled and destroyed, but many remain in circulation.
