In a major blow to 8 Tamil actors, a judicial magistrate court in Ooty has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against eight Tamil film actors including Suriya Sivakumar, as they failed to appear before the court for a defamation case.
Reportedly, the actors such as Surya, Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Vivek, Arun Vijay, Sri Priya, Cheran and Vijay Kumar insulted a leading Tamil news daily and a journalist, following a media report of prostitution in the Tamil film industry.
The complaint was filed by senior journalist Mr. Rozario urging the court to register a case against the actors for defamation in 2009.
Since the actors have been failed to appear before the court, the judge Senthilkumar Rajavel, issued non-bailable warrants against them.
However, the case has been adjourned till June 17 but it seems all the fans can just wait and watch.
