Last One Direction member finally debuts solo single

Liam Payne is the last One Direction member to go solo. His debut single, ’Strip That Down’ featuring Quavo was released on Friday. Unlike his former bandmates, Payne’s sound has a hip-hop influence. His new track was co-written by Ed Sheehan and Steve Mac. “I was in L.A. at my house, and I got a call like ‘Ed Sheeran’s in the studio and he’s writing this song — it’s about you and it’s for you so come down and have a listen. Within 30 minutes, we finished it off. When you get to collaborate with people like Ed Sheeran, it’s great.” Liam Payne told Sirius XM Hits 1 about his collaboration. Payne’s debut album is expected to be released sometime this year.
