I was just 10 years old when the aircrash happened , I cried a lot , Duncan Edwards was my hero . I have a clear memory of all the local papers normally in black and white having the players shirts printed in red . I went to the first match after the crash with my dad ....it was an evening game . The programme had no names on the team sheet but I remember that Bill Foulks and Harry Gregg played ......The fans had wanted to have Tommy Taylor,who was off form dropped and replaced by Alex Dawson ...he was because Tommy was dead . I went to my First United game when I was six , with my Mum and Dad who were also life long fans .....my Mums family lived about 500yards from where Newton Heath began playing . I wasnt going to go to the memorial service last year as I now live 40 miles away . But not going kept praying on my mind over ..... as it turned out , I felt as if I was compelled to go so I did . I cried once again in the Brilliant February Sunshine .
