Trump: My First 100 Days 'Just About The Most Successful' In Country's History

President Trump commented on the 100-day marker during his weekly address on Friday.
During his weekly address on Friday, President Trump talked about his "successful" first 100 days.
Trump noted, "I truly believe that the first 100 days of my administration has been just about the most successful in our country’s history."
He continued, "Most importantly, we are bringing back jobs. You asked the people of Michigan, you asked the people of Ohio, you can ask the people of Pennsylvania. See what’s happening. See the car companies come roaring back in. They don’t want to leave. They want to stay here. They want a piece of the action."
On economy, Trump added, "Since my inauguration, economic confidence has soared, reaching higher than any time in nine years. Optimism among manufacturers is at a record high...Our country is going up and it’s going up fast."
Fox's Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs expressed their positive impression of Trump's 100 days during a Thursday exchange on 'The Sean Hannity Show.'
Dobbs noted, "He has done more than any president in recent history, certainly in the last half century, in the first 98 days of his presidency.”
Hannity later said, “All the accomplishments of the president, keeping his promise, checking off his list...He’s not perfect, nobody’s perfect, but he’s done a really good job.”
Dobbs interjected, “Well, he’s pretty close to perfect, Sean..I’m serious.”
On the other side, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told CNN, “His first 100 days is a list of promises made, promises broken, starting with his pledge about jobs. We haven’t seen a jobs bill. His pledge about health care that it’s going to be so accessible, affordable, and all the rest.”
The Washington Post noted in a piece on April 21, "While the Republican president has issued a flurry of executive orders seeking to change the direction on multiple Obama administration policies, he has no major wins on Capitol Hill beyond Gorsuch."
