The exchange started on Wednesday, when the first lady tweeted a line from a speech she had given earlier that day at the International Women of Courage ceremony; her quote said, “I urge you to not be afraid to fail - as failure will never have the power to define you, as long as you learn from it.”
In less than an hour O’Donnell wrote back, “which is y u need to divorce him - take ur son n parents and FLEE.”
US Weekly recently reported, based on an inside source, that Melania is “miserable” with her life now.
However, TMZ confirmed a couple weeks ago that she and Barron would, indeed, be moving to the White House after his school year ends.
The White House also announced on Monday that Melania was continuing to assemble her team, choosing Stephanie Grisham to be her official communications director.
O’Donnell and President Trump have exchanged verbal attacks against each other over the past several years.
