Officials at the Zoo Knoxville in Tennessee reported that 33 of their reptiles were found dead. The mysterious deaths occurred in the Zoo’s herpetology building that held 52 animals. The zoo evacuated and treated the remaining reptiles in the enclosure, while investigating what caused the deaths of the others. Among the dead were three critically endangered species: a Louisiana pine snake, a Catalina Island rattlesnake and an Aruba Island rattlesnake. Zoo Knoxville President Lisa New
