With a title like The Giant Gila Monster, movie watchers know they are in for a campy 1950’s monster movie treat. On par with other classics like Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and The Killer Rabbits, this movie is nothing but hilarious cheesy effects, brutal acting, and oozing gore. Starting with a monster attack on pretty young couples parked on Lover’s Lane, this is clearly top notch Monster Movie fare. From there, a group of buddies who mostly work on their vintage 1950’s hot rods must defend their small town from a giant lizard – and are willing to use their expensively souped up autos as weapons. Classic horror fans must own The Giant Gila Monster to truly be considered a horror enthusiast.
