Il Volo - Grande Amore @Sanremo 2015 [subtitled ENG]

Il Volo's first ever performance of 'Grande Amore', on the 11th February 2015 - which was also Gianluca's birthday.
Il Volo did not know how the audience would receive 'Grande Amore', as they had never sung it in public before. In the run up to Sanremo, Il Volo had received several negative reviews in the Italian press - with their style of music being heavily criticised. As such, they were very nervous about performing at Sanremo. In fact, Il Volo nearly didn't sing at Sanremo at all, as they considered it such a risk to their career.
As it turned out, the audience gave them a rapturous response.
By singing 'Grande Amore', Il Volo won Sanremo Festival, and then went on to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest, where they reached third place, but managed to secure a solid first-place victory in the televoting. They also won the Marcel Bezençon Press Award, as best song according to the collective voting of the accredited press.
The extended play 'Sanremo Grande Amore' was released in Italy on 20 February 2015 and was certified triple platinum by FIMI.
