Oye! Hoye! Hoye! Dil Dharkay Mein Tumse (Anjuman)

Anjuman was released the same year Rangeela was released in 1970, both of them Platinum Jubilee films. The story is somewhat the same. In Anjuman, Rani who has played the role of Anjuman a notorious prostitute, who constantly dreams of Waheed Murad without seeing him. He is the man of her dreams. She's a good lady from inside, but her mother Tamanna insists that she be a prostitute like herself when she was young. Tamanna is her pimpess.
Santosh Kumar plays the role of Waheed Murad's brother. Anjuman hooks him and so his marriage with Waheed Murad's sister is affected. Santosh is not paying attention to his wife Sabiha, so Waheed visits Anjuman to tell her to stay away from his brother. Upon seeing Waheed, Anjuman realizes that he is the one who has been appearing in her dreams and falls in love with him. This song is sung to tell him how grateful she is for him to visit her.
But tragically, it's a one way love. He is in love with her cousin Deeba whom he played with since childhood. He marries Deeba and all of Rani;s dreams are shattered and she commits suicide while dancing on his wedding night by taking poison.
This movie made Rani a Top of the line actress instead of a supporting or B grade one. Rani even played a vamp in movies before this one.
