B52's - Love Shack
The B-52's est un groupe originaire d’Athens en Géorgie
Ils commencent au début des années 1980, dans la même vague que Devo et les Talking Heads avec un style speedé inventif et rigolo et des paroles loufoques.
Leur premier album est remarqué en Europe grâce notamment à plusieurs tubes dansants comme leur 1er single Rock Lobster ou encore Planet Claire comportant des vocaux excentriques sidérants. Ils se produisent à Paris au Palace et font le bonheur de la scène branchée parisienne avec leurs chanteuses à « choucroute » (coiffure particuliere). Succès, séparation et reformation jalonnent ensuite leur carrière… A noter que l'une des chanteuses, Kate PIERSON, a enregistré un merveilleux titre avec IGGY POP : Candy
