My dad instilled a love of awesome military aircraft in me from the time I was little. I would sit with him and look through books detailing planes throughout history, their time of use and their specs. I was fascinated by the idea of flight and dreamed one day of being a fighter pilot. Unfortunately for me that dream never came true, but I have been fortunate enough to see the famous Blue Angels on more than one occasion. The aerial acrobatics and complex maneuvers these pilots pull off are absolutely insane and something most of us couldn’t imagine attempting in our wildest dreams. They usually perform for large crowds, but a group of beach goers and fisherman on Pensacola Beach in Florida got to see up close and personal how well-trained and gutsy these pilots are on the afternoon of July 11, 2015. Two Blue Angels were practicing aerial maneuvers over beach goers. The camera man is filming one of the Blue Angels who is well up in the air above the beach, when Blue Angel #5 does a beach fly by that is closer to the ground than I have ever seen one of these F/A-18 Hornets get. The amount of skill it takes to fly this low to the ground, especially with crowds of people under you is absolutely astonishing. I don’t know if would ever be able to pull anything off like this Blue Angel who did a beach tree church fly by a on a hot day..
