Man speared through head: spearfishing accident goes horribly wrong, impales man’s face

THE BAHAMAS — Alarming photographs are circulating on social media of a man reportedly speared through the head while on a diving excursion off the coast of the Bahamas.
Not much is known about this incident just yet, not even the man’s name. Photos of the man in hospital, both before and after the spear-removal surgery, are inciting a collective gasp among users online. Though most would call this an unlucky situation, doctors would probably say he’s the luckiest man alive. Had the spear pierced his head just a few millimeters higher, it would’ve likely proved fatal.
Instead, his surgery appears to have gone well, based off a post-surgery photo of the man offering a smile and gesturing with the peace sign.
