Director Vivek Agnihotri said that this is the first time someone is making an 'erotic thriller' in bollywood and that in today's age, when erotica has entered every household through television, it's high time that such films be made. Agnihotri also said that the film 'Hate Story' is the story of the power of a woman in today's world. The director also spoke about the actors and the music in the film.
