At a time when it seems everybody is in need of some hope, the Pantone Color Institute has spoken. The world-renowned color authority named "greenery" the color of the year for 2017. Pantone chooses a color each year that it expects to appear prominently in fashion, products, design and life—as well as reflect prevailing mood or sentiments, CNN Money reported. Pantone noted in the release that every color of the year is a reflection of society. With our nation divided socially and politically going into 2017, Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, believes "greenery" represents our "desire to rejuvenate and revitalize."
