Beaver Wages War On Christmas, Trashes Ornaments At Store

While perusing the holiday offerings at a St. Mary’s County, Maryland dollar store, a beaver decided to wage a war on Christmas.

Many embrace the holiday season as a time of peace, love, and joy, but there are those who prefer to heed the call of their inner Grinch.
Among the latter is a beaver who, while perusing the offerings at a St. Mary’s County, Maryland dollar store, decided to wage a war on Christmas.
When first spotted, the animal appeared to be calm, but soon after began to destroy various holiday-themed merchandise.
At that point, store workers realized they had a problem customer on their hands and placed a call to the area sheriff’s office, notes WBAL.
Animal control was called in for backup, and, ultimately, the agitated beaver was contained.
St. Mary’s Sheriff shared news of the incident via Twitter, noting, “the suspect, pictured, was witnessed causing [property] destruction at a store…” and, “...the beaver was safely rescued by animal control & was released to a wildlife rehabilitator.”
It remains unclear what triggered the beaver’s aggressive behavior towards the holiday display.
