Atatürk has been instrumental in Turkey becoming a country that practices Islam most beautifully.

KARTAL GOKTAN: Mr. Oktar, as you know, today is November 10th. We cherish the memory of Atatürk with respect, love and compassion.

ADNAN OKTAR: Indeed. The other TV channels do not depict Atatürk properly. They talk about him superficially, saying 'He was born in Thessaloniki,' whereas they should be telling of his services for the benefit of Islam, the Quran, how he fought in the name of Islam, how estimable he was. Atatürk is the reason Islam can be practiced freely in Turkey. Throughout the world of Islam, Turkey is the country where Islam is practiced most beautifully. And Atatürk is the reason behind this. Unmentionable words were said about the late Atatürk by people who cannot measure up to him. If it weren't for him, it would be impossible to listen to music. It would be impossible for women to dress freely or even laugh. The Ottoman Empire had grown accustomed to ceding its territories. It gave away the majority of its territories to its enemies, putting forward the Empire's lack of strength as the reason. And lastly, when they were about to give away the Southeast Anatolia, a thunderous roar shook the earth and sky in opposition. Having been used to this situation. Atatürk was the first person to have the Quran translated into Turkish. He was the first person to have the life of our Prophet (saas) translated into Turkish as well. By doing so, he took away the ammunition of the fanatics. This excerpt is written in All Works of Atatürk, Volume 4, page 137. This is explained in 'Nutuk' [The Speech] written by Atatürk. Related from Nuri Ulusu, the personal librarian of Atatürk; "At times, while Atatürk was working, he would be deeply impressed by the Quran’s interpretations he would read and say, "O, great God, those who do not believe in the Quran are nonbelievers. Do you see how the Quran guides us? We should teach the Quran to the entire world." And then, to those closest to him, "When I read it, my spirit overflows with enthusiasm; don't you also feel the same?" would ask Atatürk. They casted many aspersions on our brave leader, but God failed them all.

The final word of the Atatürk was "Alaikum salam" [And peace be upon you too]. I have been telling this for years. And I think Hacettepe University history department lecturer Ali Güner probably heard it from me. It has been 15-20 years since the first time I told this. I wrote about this at least 20 years ago; you can find it in my books from 20 years ago. "Just as it is written in the Al-Quran al-Kareem, I believe before he passed away, Atatürk greeted Azrael (pbuh) who had come to take his life," he says.  As far as I understand, Azrael (pbuh) said to Atatürk "Salaam" and he responded "Alaikum salam." This is indeed a great miracle. This took place when Azrael (pbuh) came to take his life. Nothing else was
