Driverless tricycle hit by car after running red light

A dramatic video has emerged from China of a car crashing into a driverless tricycle after it ran a red light.
The footage, filmed in Xiangyang, Hubei Province last week, shows the driverless tricycle with a boy inside rushing through the middle a cross road before being hit by an oncoming car.
According to local reports, the tricycle driver named Yang was knocked off his tricycle by a car that rear-ended him.
Because of inertia, his tricycle with his grandson inside continued its route across the crossroads.
Fortunately, the car driver braked on time and the boy was not injured.
