HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY — A train traveling at a “high rate of speed” crashed into a platform at Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey on during rush hour on Thursday morning, killing one woman and injuring 108.

According to New Jersey news site NJ.com, the train crashed into the platform at 8:45 a.m. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said a woman was killed while standing at the platform and killed by debris from the crash. That woman was identified by the state medical examiner as Fabiola Bittar de Kroon, 34, NBC News reported.

At least 108 other people were injured, reported NBC News citing officials. Three of the wounded were in critical condition and 11 were listed as serious, reported NJ.com citing Dr. Ken Garay, Chief Medical Officer at Jersey Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown, however authorities do not currently suspect that terrorism or foul play was involved.
