Girl, 5, hears properly for the first time outside hospital after getting cochlear implant

Adorable footage of the moment a five-year-old girl stepped out of hospital after getting a cochlear implant turned on, allowing her to hear properly for the first time.
The video, filmed in Chicago, USA on August 1, shows Layla smiling and getting excited when she hears a "tiny bird" chirping.
Layla was born "was born with moderately severe - profound hearing loss," the filmer wrote online.
"Her left ear is deaf and was no longer receiving benefit from her hearing aid."
"We made the decision to get her a cochlear implant," she continued.
"We never knew what she was missing before - this video was taken as she stepped out of the hospital after the audiologist turned on her cochlear implant."
