NANNING, CHINA — Video of a piglet born with a bizarre mutation is making the rounds online.
In the footage released this past week from an unknown source, the deformed little piggy appears to have a penis-shaped trunk jutting out of its forehead. The video shows the piglet being held up to the camera, gasping for breath. In addition to the odd forehead mutation, the piglet also has an extra large tongue.
So far, there is no concrete understanding of what caused the deformity, or what it may indicate. According to expert zoologists, animals born with such mutations rarely survive their first few days of life.
This mutation is not unprecedented by the way. Back in February 2015, a piglet with a similar facial structure was born in a litter of 19 piglets out in Nanning, China. Unfortunately, it died mere days after it was born.
