A video posted to Ariel Gonzalez’s YouTube channel on August 29, shared the story of how his new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had apparently caught fire.
He claimed that he only had the phone, which was “not even two weeks old,” charging for a short period of time before he went to class, and that he was using its original charger. Storyful had reached out to Gonzalez for more information.The burn to his phone looks similar to the damage done to other Note 7s reported to have exploded in Korea.
