Odds of winning a lottery and surviving a fiery plane crash are both incredibly slim, but a man living in Dubai did them both, and in one week’s time.

Odds of winning a lottery and surviving a fiery plane crash are both incredibly slim, but a man living in Dubai did them both, and in one week’s time.
The first event, the escape from a flaming aircraft, occurred on August 3.
Emirates flight EK521 skidded while landing and the fuselage ignited.
62-year-old Mohammad Basheer Abdul Khadar emerged from the wreckage unscathed, reports The Telegraph.
According to CNN, the following Tuesday, his number was drawn in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire lottery.
The prize was $1 million.
Khadar is planning to return to his native India when he retires in the coming months, notes Gulf News.
He intends to "find a job that involves helping people in need."
