Today we celebrate Assata Shakur's birthday!! One of the most iconic survivors of the Black Power movement.
As a leading member of the Black Panther party she was targeted by the FBI like many others. Assata was granted political asylum in Cuba over 30 years ago, and until this day, she remains one of the FBI's most wanted terrorists.
