Beef - Volume 3: A Japanese Conflict - Akiyama x Misaki

Akiyama's using lotion before the fight with Sakura was blown out of proportion. w. weight champ GSP greases all the time. No one says anything. I really think it was an honest mistake Akiyama made which he fully apologized for. On a pre-game video clip, you see Aki applying the lotion smiling in front of the camera. He said at the press, did not know it was a banned substance. I believe him. He was a talent Jodoka/MMA fighter before the incident and he still is.

Both are great mma fighters. I used to dislike Akiyama due to the whole greasing scandal, but Misaki seems like a real hot-headed prick who has taken things and made them way too personal. Cheating is bad, but i hate racism even more. I think Akiyama has more than paid his dues all while in the spotlight of the Japanese media. I can't wait to see a rematch!

moving. i really enjoyed the shot of the sad silent woman in the crowd ( who i suspect is akiyama's mother?). takada's emotional, powerful embrace of miskai was also a special moment. and lastly, thank you for the translation of misaki's post fight words with akiyama. but there was more. he talked to him for a good minute or two. i've seen the interview on the korean tv show with akiyama. all he says if misaki told him "japanese are strong" and "you worked hard". i'd like to know the rest. anyhow, great job.
