Ketamine spray is a popular club drug, and researchers have discovered that it could possibly treat depression. Turing Pharmaceuticals, owned by Martin Shkreli, signed a deal worth $95 million for a research program on ketamine and its effect on depression. When the drug reached its peak popularity in the nineties, it was often referred to as Special K. Researchers plan on creating a nasal spray version of the drug to help alleviate severe depression.
