Man hunt in New Zealand town after suspect flees

Footage of a police cordon in New Zealand after a manhunt was launched in Palmerston North this morning.

According to local reports, police tried to stop a driver who had warrants out for his arrest, but the suspect fled the scene.

Police and armed officers have reportedly cordoned off the area as they continue to search for the individual.

Schools inside the restricted zone are 'taking all action to keep pupils safe.'
